Our Principal

Mrs. Kristel Fulcher

Mrs. Fulcher's career began in Ankeny, Iowa as an elementary teacher in fifth and second grade classrooms. After four years in Iowa, she began a position with the Blue Valley School District in Johnson County, Kansas.

Over a ten-year period in Blue Valley, Mrs. Fulcher taught second grade and sixth grade before being promoted to school improvement specialist for the district. After serving in that capacity for one year, she accepted a position as a middle school assistant principal. Mrs. Fulcher also worked as an elementary assistant principal and summer school principal.

Mrs. Fulcher's career in education took her to Kansas State University where she supervised and instructed student teachers. She joined USD 232 in 2016 as elementary curriculum coordinator, collaborating with elementary teachers, school improvement specialists, and principals in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and professional development. She graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in early childhood education and elementary education, with endorsements in reading and Spanish. She also obtained a master's degree in educational leadership. Mrs. Fulcher is married to her husband Bret and has two children, Cale and Isabel.
